About MumFitness

Hello!!

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my website and for clicking on the little “about me” section. It means somewhere along the way you came across “Dimity” and you wanted to find out more about her.

I’d love to share all I can with you, about me. And in turn, I hope one day I can find out more about you and what brought you to my website. And if you feel like dropping me an e-note right now, I would love that!!

My full name is Dimity Emery and I am first and foremost a Mum and a Wife. My husband Luke and I have 5 children – Meg (20), Andrew (10), Mia (8), Sienna (6) and Bella (4); two dogs – Nya and Tibby and the 9 of us (yes, 9!!) live in Ascot, Brisbane.

I’ve started off with my family because they are the centre of my universe. Simply put – there is no ‘about me’ that doesn’t include them.

We’ve weathered some storms together and while they may have shaken us up a little we never stopped huddling together for warmth, and it’s from the strength of our family that I draw inspiration for every other aspect in my life.

As you may have guessed – I am also a Professional Fitness Trainer – and it’s fitness and health that I’ve chosen to pour all of my remaining love, life and energy into.

Fitness

As you may have guessed – I am also a Professional Fitness Trainer – and it’s fitness and health that I’ve chosen to pour all of my remaining love, life and energy into.

I come from a professional sporting (figure skating) background, so I’ve seen and lived through extreme discipline, with both fitness and diet.

From a very young age I was always surrounded by a very holistic approach to health. I distinctly recall my Auntie repeatedly reminding me that “your body is a temple”.

“If you want to build a strong pyramid of ‘you’, YOU have to make sure that every brick is solid.”

For me, those words meant that if I treated my body as a temple, I would build a strong pyramid. But I had to make sure that the things I prioritised fuelled that strength. Three things which I believe are key to a strong pyramid are: eating what makes us feel good, strong and gives us energy for our every day lives, moving our bodies (in whatever way works for you) and learning to love all the incredible things our bodies are capable of!!

A body that is treated as a temple, and that forms a strong pyramid isn’t created through ‘instant’ results; shortcuts or false promises. I’ve built my personal training on helping you feel good, strong, energetic and building a strong temple so you can live out your best “YOU”.

When this happens you stand taller, you’re happier and you’re living a life that you want … helping you find that balance … that to me is everything.

Life’s a journey

In life, there are some things that don’t come with instructions, your health is one of them. I want you to know that it takes guts to put your hand up and say “I need help with this” – but you don’t have to do it alone.

“There’s no boundaries for me in regards to someone’s want or desire for a better version of themselves.”

I hope that we can connect whether online or in real life, to find out more about my training programs and how I can help you on your journey to a strong pyramid, click here.
